The basics …

This is all easily doable with Unifi and Wifi-Man … and to be very frank about it, all using some very nice looking gear. The apps available, including the WiFi-Man one are very intuitive. All training is given of course.
Feature 1
Help assess your internet needs, and if need be assist with ISP negotiations/contracts. If you want us to, we will replace the [cheap] standard router your ISP has provided. You will then be able to see, monitor and control all internet traffic to your hearts content, e.g. restrict access to adult content / the dark web; set schedules for social media; easily block certain machines etc.
Feature 2
You set your WiFi name and password. Multiple WiFis are easily done, and easily managed (e.g. have a separate one for the kids that goes off at 21:00 every day). Using the WifiMan app we will set these up to maximise performance, not just use the standard settings that your ISP will use. If your wifi signal isn’t satisfactorily reaching places you need it, we can fix that, whether it’s running cables, or wirelessly (always better by cable if possible).
Feature 3
All technicians have successfully completed the industry recognised Ubiquiti Enterprise Wireless Admin course, and thus are fully Unifi certified. The suite of Unifi apps make all these features really easy to manage, including the integration of CCTV! As you will discover via a quick google, Unifi is renowned for enterprise level products at surprisingly low prices.
Why now is a good time to upgrade your Wifi…
With the ever increasing reliance on Wifi and demand thereof (online/VR gaming, HD streaming at home, Global live video chats…) , the clever folk behind Wifi are constantly working on improving it.
Along with the demand for Wifi, the last few years have seen the most significant improvements to performance.
In 2018 we saw the release of Wifi 6 (802.11ax to be technical about it). This evolution meant considerably faster speeds and thus greater throughout. In 2020 however there was a further subtle tweak when Wifi 6e came along.
This had all the benefits of Wifi 6, plus the addition of a whole new, uncrowded radio spectrum, 6Ghz. As over crowding/interference is one of the main reasons for unsatisfactory Wifi performance, this small tweak is a game changer.

What’s next? Well, imagine the scenario of a surgeon wirelessly connected to the internet in Brazil, controlling a robotic arm carrying out the surgery thats connected to the internet in Finland. This is not beyond the realms of reality, if not already. With this sort of thing in mind, Wifi 8 will be very much focussing on stability. Watch this space.
